If you are an energetic, experienced engineer with knowledge to support prototype diesel engine builds and project management skills to join an exciting journey in developing current and future powertrain sources.

Job summary:
The purpose of the Product Build Project Leader is to lead, monitor, coordinate and secure the total delivery of Test Objects, except all test equipment needed for a test or material needed surrounding the test object , by attending and chairing all necessary project forums and hereby, giving input and report status to the projects. This means:


  • Lead the cross functional activities from Order to delivery of test objects.
  • Gathering the need of test objects within the project for all purposes.
  • Create and document the total test object need of the project, (Project build plan)
  • Create, anchor and follow up associated detailed time plans for the physical test objects. Inform all functions internal Product Build or external on when they are expected to deliver according to the detailed time plan.
  • Secure that specification and ordering of test objects is done.
  • Secure variant and BOM reviews according to detailed time plan together with stakeholders.
  • Secure based on engineering input a correct Bill Of Material (BOM) for all test objects needed. This includes all needed parts for the test object.
Together with project decide on any support from Geometrical architects and plan that in the detailed Time plan.

Be chairman or participate in decided regular or temporary meetings linked to physical test object builds, i.e. Vehicle Update Meetings (VUM), Powertrain update meetings (PUM), material meetings, build start-up meetings, build meetings, sign-off/hand over meetings, Go/No GO meetings etc.
  • Initiate the part delivery from storage to build location for parts managed by Project Builds.
  • Secure according to local agreements /rules that i.e. Quotations, Build instructions, Work orders are done.
  • Monitor all necessary corrective tasks to reach delivery dates
  • Report to project and customer on progress/actions.
  • Update PROTOM (Bill of Material management system) or secure that PROTOM is updated to be correct vs the test objects BOM.
  • Core Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Test Objects by leading, monitoring status from planning to delivery and initiate actions if needed.
  • Be the Product Build representative to Project Manager and Project Team. The PB PL have Quality, Delivery Cost responsibility for Product builds towards the PME and Project.
  • To manage the project total build plan and keep it updated according to Project demands
  • Chair or participate in regular or temporary decided meetings within the projects physical test object build process
  • Lead or manage Product build internal work in the physical build process

Education and Experiences
Minimum Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical / Industrial degree preferred) but Master preferred
At least 3 years within prototype process environment and project coordination or management
Technical knowledge (Diesel Powertrain/Automotive / Mechanical Systems)
Prototype database system education
Continuous improvement knowledge
Ability to travel locally
