As a Senior Engineer-Driving Environment, you would be an integral part of this dynamic engineering organization. As a Senior Engineer, you would be the product owner of the Driving Environment components. This position offers exciting opportunity to work across different components in the driving environment area with high visibility and career growth. Driving Environment team is part of Cab Engineering and is responsible for driving area components including Instrument Panel, Kick Panels, Seats, Door Panel, Steering Components, Brake and Accelerator pedals, Engine Cover and HVAC systems. Our team also plays a key role in defining the Driver Interface (HMI) to make the driving experience versatile and intuitive.

Responsibilities:
  • Conceptual and detailed design development as well as production release of Driving Environment area components like Instrument Panel, Steering Wheel, Seats, Accelerator Pedal, Brake Pedal, Engine Cover, Kick Panel and Door Panel.
  • Manage system, subsystem and component information in the PDM/PLM environment.
  • Ensure all geometric, manufacturing, and assembly requirements are analyzed, verified and met with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Work within a matrix organization whilst delivering towards project-based goals set by the program management team.
  • Create and manage 2D and 3D CAD designs, develop and document GD&T and fit & finish requirements, and fastening design using Catia V5/V6.
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 5-8 years of experience of product development (cradle to grave) in the automotive/truck/construction equipment/aerospace industry.
  • Experience designing components in one or more of the following areas:
  • Injection/blow molded plastic parts
  • Seats
  • HVAC system
  • Steering System Components

Professional Skills:
  • Knowledge of an automotive design and development process.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with manufacturing and aftermarket.
  • Ability to define system requirements and general engineering best practices.
  • Experience using CAD systems (Catia/PRO-E) and PLM systems (Enovia/PDM) with the ability to position and manipulate models is required.
